Greetings to all! Welcome to
my site. Why CesarRamirez.com? Well I am glad you asked because
sometimes I ask myself the same question. Why do I ever spend so
much time creating such a site for one single person (myself)? The
idea behind the whole site is that I can express who I am both in
graphical form and projects/work experience. The site is basically
put together to sell myself as an Engineer/Inventor/Creator/Producer. In
my last few years in college, I possessed a strong interest in embedded
software and hardware devices. My degree in Computer Engineering
from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (March 2002) gave me the motivation
to proceed with the confidence of such embedded projects. I had
created a business called Embedded Strategies (http://EmbeddedStrategies.com)
where the idea was to form a group of interested students/entrepreneurs
to sell their ideas under my overhead. The idea of course was great, but the outcome was none. Therefore, two years later 2004, I have moved on to another hobbie. Producing videos. More to come at www.ramirezfilms.com. The money was nice, but it took too long for video editing and it was hard to keep the client happy. Soon after, I came back to the love of my career. Being a Network and PC specialist. I now run a mobile service of servicing home and small business computers and networks. You can find this business at www.ACDoctor.net for more information.
HISTORY
As you know, my name is Cesar Ramirez and well
I pretty much began studying computers/software/electronics at the
age of five on a Commodore Vic 20 and a Commodore 64/128.
My father always had neat things lying around the house that I wanted
to tinker or hack with, so that's how I gained my techniques.
I would have to say he is the genius in the family for knowing more
then the normal (he's very diverse in many areas of electronics,
automotive, and carpentry, just to name a few). And to this
day it still stands true. I later moved on to greater and
neater things at age 11 with the IBM PC (sorry MAC folks).
I started on a 286, so I understand pretty much the drama that went
behind all the issues that are standing today with that nerd, what's
his name, yeah Bill Gates. I currently have an obsolete computer
which holds Windows XP ) Operating System. I've always built
my own PCs and currently I have put together a 1 GHz T-Bird, 800megs
of 100mhz Ram, 40+ Gig hard drive, Creative DVD Drive, a TDK 24X
CD BURNER!, and Sound Blaster LIVE!. Like a nerd, I painted my tower
case primer with red and blue buttons (oddly it's very Patriotic;
God Bless
America!). Since I am always on
the road with many of my clients, I have bought a nice DELL 1GHZ
laptop with super neat options (which I rather not go into). Now in 2004, my Dell has died. The power charger on the MOBO went out on me, so I'm not about to pay Dell $800 for another motherboard. I have a Averatec 3200 series which I use for my dee jaying laptop. I have built a super sweet PC Dual Xeon 2.8 GHZ, 1ghz for dual channel RAM, 256 GeForce FX 5700, 200GB HDD and a 8x Dual layer DVD burner (this beast is used for video production).
I received my Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering
(CPE) from Cal Polytechnic
State University.
The greatest role model in my life is my father for pushing me to
the limits of completing my goals in computers. My mother,
well she's my number one lady for taking care of me to this day.
If there is anything that I've learned from being on my own, is
to be a leader and strong role model. My older brother Juan
Carlos "JC" has backed me up since day one. Juan as a loyal
brother, great friend, and awesome college roommate for the first
three years, now works at Guidant Corp. in Temecula, CA. He's
a Materials Engineer and rolling in the big bucks. He can be contacted
at djjc76@hotmail.com .
We have always been there for each other back to back, so "I appreciate
all you have done for me bro." If it wasn't for God,
I wouldn't be the man that I am today. Life has brought me a lot
of pain and a lot of happiness, but I feel that I can handle it
with the greatest of ease. Last but not least if it wasn't
for my wife, Xochitl, I couldn't face the world in a mature manner.
She has truelly brought light into the dark side of my world. We
do everything together and she is truelly my best friend. And as of October 19th, 2004, our little boy, Cesar Antonio Ramirez (C.A.R.) is born. He is the oh so energy high of my life next to my wife. He just brings a big 'ol smile to my face and seeing him reminds me of me in so many ways. Can't wait for you to grow up lil Ceez so I can show you the tools of the trade. I can't
ever repay my family for the things they have supported me on.
...Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to look around and drop me
some feedback. (Sign my guestbook)
