How To Build Money

The methods of doing business have definitely changed. Are you prepared? If not, it’s back to the rat race you go and you will be running a non-profit business from the discomfort of your home. What do I mean? Read closely to find out.

You see, many folks are trying to perform what use to work in the 1980s and 1990s in business and are still asking themselves “how to build money”? Calling someone on the phone isn’t as effective as it use to be. Take me for example. I use to spend hours dialing and picking up the phone to prospect. I’m not saying it doesn’t work still but I am saying that the idea of getting in front of your prospects are different. Teens now, Generation-Y (born after 1990s), don’t even want to communicate via voice. They all want to use a text messaging system or digital social medium to communicate.  So we have to get into their minds and prepare for the future. Facebook, Netflix, and Twitter figured it out. Have you ever received a phone call from any of these companies asking you to join their deal? Negative.

So how do you make it work for your business and leverage your time and stop asking yourself  how to build money? It’s simple. Learn how to effectively market using affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing? You may have heard of the phrase. Affiliate Marketing as of today has about 25,900,000 results searching on Google. Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third party vendors. (From Wikipedia).

So dumbing it down, basically it goes back to WITFM (What’s In It For Me) as a consumer? If you’re not allergic to money, this may be a solution for you if you currently have a website or like to waste time on Facebook (trust me, once you get going on Facebook, you can get lost in Flashback photos). They should just call it Flashbacks (just saying) . My buddy Curt Maly figured out how to save me time. He created Social Media in 7 minutes (freaking genius). The software he uses there allows me to use robots to do all the automation for me all from one location (Walk away income).

So most products or services that are making this digital era work are either paying for clicks (using pay per click) to drive traffic or have a commission percentage pay out to pay you for marketing their product. Take me for example. In the summer of 2010 I developed CraigslistAdPower.com. I knew if I was to make it an affiliate product, it would be attractive to readers and marketers like yourself because you will share it with your list. My friend Larry Beacham put me on the phone with over 200 people and we sold 122  product licenses in a 24 hour period just to his list. Why did it work so well? Because he has provided enough value so that people listen to him. He got paid gracefully and so did I. I pay out 50% of commissions to my affiliates. I call that fair. As a result, I also increased my list over 200 people that would otherwise not have known me if I wasn’t referred by him. I will be realistic and the average person will not want to invest the time to create their own product, so marketing someone else’s products is the best solution to get paid today.

Recently you may have heard the buzz about Empower Network which is first of it’s kind to pay out 100% commissions at $25 a month (starting up to $125+month or more for their up-sell) directly to your bank account. As of writing this article, they have had some challenges with merchant accounts, so at the moment I choose to be paid by Paypal until things change and are more secure. The idea of Empower Network is quite genius. Put on by David Wood and David Sharpe, they build a network of bloggers, as yourself, if you choose to get involved. If you’re like me and you love to write about anything your mind chooses and don’t care about what others think about your writing, then I suggest you consider Empower Network as a source of income as well. They have banners marketing themselves and their products and they are doing ALL the selling for you through your affiliate link. In return they pay you 100% commissions. If you have no followers online or a very small list, this is the best way to get started building a followers list in my opinion.

It’s like what Robert Kiyosaki taught me back in 2006. You want to have about 4-7 streams of income bringing you money every single month without you working it. Keywords are  ”WITHOUT YOU” working it. You can absolutely do that part-time or full-time depending on your drive.

One thing I have noticed from those that make it and don’t make it online is their drive and mentality. Are you educating yourself on what’s working now? Or are you skeptical on the next biggest fad taking your money and calling it a SCAM? I’ve spent hundreds and thousands on learning business and marketing from other online marketers. Why? Because I know they have the goods and I don’t. They are living the lifestyle that I want to live. The lifestyle of making money without having to drive somewhere every single day and spend money on gas. As a result, I now live in the mountains living the lifestyle I enjoy and being a full-time stay at home dad. It can and will happen for you. Just believe.

So let’s see what that looks like. If you hate having to commute to work every day, you’re not alone! The average commute in miles for Americans is 16 miles and 26 minutes for one way (being conservative). That’s 32 miles and 52 minutes for a round trip every day. And that is just the average! It’s safe to assume that the high metropolitan areas such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and New York will have longer commutes than the average. If you are currently commuting and it’s starting to make you crazy, consider applying for a new job in your area, moving closer to work or car pooling to take the pressure off of driving every day. Especially with the spike in gas prices

As of writing this article 1/29/2012 the local gas station shows $3.70 a gallon to fill up your gas tank. So let’s calculate this out.  32 miles a day and the average car is 22mpg. 32miles/22mpg = 1.45 gallons a day resulting in $5.38 (a day). That’s $26.90 (a week) $115.67 a month and $1388.04 a year. Not including maintenance and food (cheaper to cook at home). Why am I writing this out? Because I want to show you the benefits of the cost of savings of commute time and money by working from home.

Now the average income according to the ssa.gov website for 2010 is $41,673.83.  After paying 42% of that to Uncle Sam,  that looks like $24,170.82/year.  You are left with $22,782.78/year after paying gasoline and $1898.56/  month in income. The rest goes towards cost of living and maintenance of your vehicle. Look I don’t mean to be to the extreme here, but I really want to paint this picture. You have to ask yourself, can you make more than $2000 a month online (extra income) and can that be full-time so that you can put that the rest of the money away for other things. You can definitely save $1388.04 a year and earn more than $1898.56 a month by working from home. The beauty of being self employed is paying taxes at the end of the year on what’s left not every paycheck. There are a lot of benefits and tax write-offs for working for yourself. Consult a qualified CPA that understands small business owner practices.

In closing business has changed. Either ask your employer to allow you to work from home or create your own circumstance like I have by creating an additional stream of income leveraging online marketing.

AT&T vs T-Mobile speeds

So some folks are excited to hear that there will not be a merger with the giants AT&T and T-Mobile. It’s not a big deal for me because neither of them pay my bills. Actually that’s incorrect. Because of their Internet service, I’m relying on one of them to keep my Internet connection going at home. Since I make my income from Internet marketing

As some of you may or may not know, I moved the family to the mountains of Valley Center, CA for many reasons. One major reason was the fast pace of city convenience was stressing me out.

So the flip side is Internet connection has been a debating war. You see the only service I get out here is either cellular data or satellite connection. I researched prices and speed rates and Satellite’s service through Hughes Dish is $99 for the fastest speed of 2.0Mbps. I get about 5.5Mbps down and 2Mbps up using my iPhone. Naturally my skills for tech come from a passion of tinkering. Since I have, so I thought, unlimited Internet, I figured it be ok to share the Internet from my iPhone to my home devices. Come to find out from AT&T threats this is not the case. They send me text messages and snail mail to let me know it’s not ok to use the Internet outside your iPhone.

So even though I technically can use the PDANet app to hide my data usage, it’s not a full Internet service because it limits me to not using aweber. It must filter me through a proxy of some sort.

So check out my rig. I tethered my iPhone to my desktop via USB. It treats it like a modem. Then inside Windows 7 I shared that connection with the LAN adapter. The Cat5 cable from LAN goes directly into a WAN port of my Airlink Router. Now all devices in the house can be online. ! It works but for how long?

To stay in the guidelines of AT&T and T-Mobile, I understand that I have to use their hot spot device. Therefore I bought a Sierra 4G LTE hot spot unlocked off EBay so I can test both TMOBILE and AT&T. CDMA (Verizon or Sprint) doesn’t have a signal out here last time I checked.

I hope some of you mountain livers find value from this post. Going from FIOS 17Mbps to Cellular (3G) 5.5Mbps is a drastic change. I wouldn’t trade living here from where we were at though.

What an amazing 2011 year friends and family. First of all, I like to thank every single one of you for just being you and thinking about us. You’re amazing and in our hearts. We are wishing you the very best that God has to offer. Most importantly we are grateful for having you in our life.

So where do I begin? As you know I was born May 9^th, 2011 at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, CA. The first of my 2 brothers to be born at Palomar. This is also where both of my parents were born. Being in the amniotic fluid for so long, I was able to hear and study my soon to be family. I come to find out that I have the best qualities of both my brothers and I balance them out. Lets start with Cesar Antonio. He’s creative and always inventing stuff. He’s also very emotional, so be very careful of his feelings. No joke, he has a new idea every minute. Now my other brother Adam David is something else. He’s also very creative and likes to build things with Legos. He also loves to dance like nobody is watching and is a comedian. He’s more of a hands on type of guy and I see him bringing new Lego creations to my dad. He can also be in my face at times and a bit rough on me (just wait until I grow up). I have this cool jumper where I just jump away and smile at the world so they can see my chunky legs go to work.

I’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with Dad most of the mornings and afternoons since he chooses to work from home. I’m not quite sure what he does on the computer, but he’s also very creative and constantly shooting videos and writing blogs. I think I heard him mention that it’s called online marketing. He chose to close down his computer service repair company after 5 years of service because of his focus to create an online business so he can spend more time with us and generate income no matter where we live. I can hear him late at night cranking on the keys and I know he’s up to something big. I love my dad and want to be just like him when I grow up. He continues to DJ as a get away for relaxation and last I heard he’s been doing it for 16 strong years. That’s probably where I get my dancing moves from. You should see him pick me up and dance, I just smile away. He tried retiring 3 times from DJing this year, but his clients tend to find him to continue. Dad is not allergic to money so he can’t refuse.

Now, my beautiful mom is amazing! She also works very hard at making sure we are all taken care of. Not only does she care for us when she gets home from her teaching job, but she also has to put up with 30 other children at school. They gave her another 10 kids to add to her already busy schedule. Dad is working on adjusting our lifestyle to accommodate mom to be home with us full-time.

Mom and Dad put on some weight from my doing . So they got on the 90 Day Body By Vi Challenge and in their 1st 30 days lost over 20lbs each. I’m so proud of them! They were completely inspired by my uncle Juan who went from 260lbs to 190lbs. A lesson to note is, if you don’t have your health in alignment, nothing else fits. Mom and Dad’s next 90 Day Challenge is to run a 5K. Make sure to cheer them on!

Finally, we are in the process of living a simpler life without the collection of extra stuff. Dad has been selling off a lot of stuff on eBay to make clearing for our new life together. He’s learning to let go of holding on to everything. I’m proud of him for this change. As I type this, we are in the process of moving to Valley Center, CA to be closer to family. The city life is too convenient for dad and mom and being out in the country will allow Dad to clear his thoughts and live in peace from the city noise. He’s enjoying the art of blogging more and has plans for new innovations are in the works. Stay tuned to his blog at CesarRamirez.com.

How Dancing is Like Your Home Based Business

Make a movement. Keep it simple. Keep it duplicating. This video tells all:

You have to see your home based business in the same method. What does it matter what people think about you doing something different? Something that doesn’t require the status quo decisions. After all, your bills say your name, not your friends. Just saying.

I’m often reminded that your lifestyle, friendship, happiness and finances are the average of the 5 people you hang out with. So choose your friends wisely. I remember hanging out with a guy growing up who would always talk about rebellious activities. Things that wouldn’t serve me well and I’d join in the conversations because that is what I thought was correct. It was actually hurting me mentally. I didn’t realize that your mind was so powerful it can completely change your behavior and those around you.

Your home based business is about your self improvement. It’s not just about finances, it’s about time. Time with the person you are scared of facing most in the mirror. YOU. You are the person that blocks You. Until you can break the cycle of having to rely on someone else to make you happy, you will not survive hanging out with you. You see, I realize that leadership is investing in yourself to improve yourself to then go and duplicate. The problem I see with a few folks I come in contact with is that they’re scared of investing in themselves to improve. The wussy factor kicks in.

How do you get there? Personal development, coaching and more personal development. Once you built a solid mind, nothing can stop the machine inside you and you will be dancing and duplicating. Make it your day. Your time to prosper. Build that home based business that you invested in so you can bring yourself and your spouse home to spend time with each other. After all, you did marry your spouse and not your boss. Get your priorities in line and stop being a wussy and dance like nobody is watching.

Home Based Business Leads

I remember when I first started my Home Based Business I was looking for red hot targeted leads. If you found this page through a search engine of some sort, it’s because you are looking for the same constant magic source for Home Based Business Leads. So I am here to give it to you. Read this article closely for I believe if you find this information useful, you will be able to forward it and teach your team (even the dead soldiers on your team).

Often times when I have a new person running on my team, I teach them “the system” of what the company teaches because it’s a proven system. It duplicates fast and it’s little to no cost on their budget because of the warm market relationship they have built over the years.

Unfortunately, this may dry out for some and for others it’s not a market they wish to tap. As a matter of fact, I stop going down that rabbit hole because I personally like to build new relationships and keep the old ones (if we serve each other.)

Bottom line is, if you want your business to grow, you have to keep on moving forward and realize that Home Based Business Leads are a game of numbers. Should you treat everyone like they’re a number? The answer is well you give everyone a chance to make a decision for themselves, but you filter them out using the system to the right. You see, lots of folks aren’t educated on the power of marketing. I’m a numbers guy.

I traditionally teach people that  numbers is the name of the game when it comes to your home based business leads generation. So let’s look at the concept here. Marketing starts from the left and drops down to a funnel into a capture page. As you see the funnel gets smaller because your number of responses out of 10 people is usually about 3 (30%). Even the great Jim Rohn said his best day was to talk to 10 people he’d get 3 in his business. So you’re right on track if that is your percentage of response.

If you’re starting on a small budget when it comes to marketing (meaning under $500) to market your business, I’d say the two primary methods to focus on generating your home based business leads are organic searches (blogging) and Craigslist Marketing – If you currently don’t have a “custom built” capture page (away from your primary company), then I suggest you consider using a funded proposal system  like this and stay away from Craigslist (free marketing). Meaning that whether someone joins your primary business or not, you are becoming the expert by referring them to a system that generates them Home Based Business Leads and they get to know you overtime through your autoresponders.

Three things happen if you follow this method. You are branding yourself through these email autoresponders. Second you have a lead that can potentially join you in your primary business in the near future. Finally, you are generating an income residually because they are using your referral funded system (typically pays faster then your primary). Does that make sense?

EmpowerNetwork.com Alexa Ranks: This is amazing. So I was actually hammered by all my online internet marketing friends that are very close to me to just “GET IN” and be involved with David Wood and David Sharpe’s Empower Network. I was like, jeez! I’m already laser focused on Visalus Sciences guys and girls. I don’t need anything else on my plate. I got so tired of hearing about it, I joined. So long story short, I saw the herd going over there based on traffic stats. In less than a month they paid out 100% commissions in over $700,000.  I’m going to  show you a cool Alexa snapshot as of this morning.

Now I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but at least I’m in the shed . That’s a huge spike in traffic. So what’s the deal with them and should you get involved?

First of all, you usually want to follow someone with Integrity. I know David Wood personally and even though him and I haven’t been in the same organization, I have followed his genius marketing tactics. He went from “living in a van down by the river” (literally but it was a beach) to now living in a 4,000 square foot home in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica. In less than 6 months he made a killing just blogging and created a name for himself.

What’s blogging? Writing about ANYTHING you want that you have a passion for –> Attraction Marketing’s finest niche. If you understand that I practice, teach, and advise people to do this one thing, then you’ll have a following. It’s not instant, but compounded over time, you will be that much more SEO (Search Engine Optimized) on the internet.  Additionally, you are allowing your readers to share your content with those that are your friends on all major social media sites. That’s it! Simple as that.

Can’t I just use my own blog site? Sure you can buy a domain $12 per year and to host it $5-$15 a month for a good hosting company with great bandwidth, then spend countless hours setting it all up. Then you can spend hours + more $ marketing it = confusion.

I still can’t believe it. I’ve hit the Gym now over a year and haven’t had this much success. Seriously, I’ve tried a lot of supplements, soups, water diets, low carb diets and I came to realize that I am not consistent with any of those. I’m sure they may have worked, but most of the junk got old and it tasted like chalk. Watch closely on how my wife and I have gained our looks, health, and vitality back.
