eBay Domination and My Secret Weapon

on March 1st, 2012 — I did a special webinar. You may have had the pleasure of being on it and were able to get on. It was completely maxed out. To the point where people asked me if I could record it because they couldn’t get in. Well I did record it but it sits in a very special secured place. The reason being is because I respect the guy who showed me the secrets. His name is DJ.
He didn’t want the webinar out to the public because of competition reasons. I don’t blame him. He also uses it as a tool to build his business. Not just for himself but for others. During that webinar, he mentioned he’d take only 10 people and personally do 1 on 1 coaching for FREE depending on their qualifications. Now I have to be honest, not everyone qualifies because some have a urgency desire and others have a dream. The urgency desired ones are the ones that send me emails everyday and ask me, “hey just want to make sure you didn’t forget about me?” Or they call me.

This is pretty cool. You know after 79 registrations on that webinar and we only had 50 seats, I let the one’s that missed  it or show up late watch the recorded webinar for 1 day and then I took down the link per DJ’s request. You want to make sure you get on my list for the next one.

Out of the 40 people that filled out the survey, I have coached now 17 of them in less than a week. I mean I literally called them up, and spent my time for free educating them step by step. Why? Because if they make money on the front end, the backend takes care of itself. So it’s to each other’s benefit to prosper together and duplicate.

So this is what happened:

DJ got overwhelmed with the amount of responses that I decided to take action and help the poor kid out. Did I forget to mention that I met him when he was 17 in a Network Marketing company. Yes, the whiz kid, now 22,  has been doing eBay for the last few years and hasn’t touched a website, branding himself, SEO, nothing! It’s strictly just eBay and some super secret affiliate stuff in the back end.

This project started with me teaching my wife how to do eBay because she was looking for something simple to make money online. Something where she can be on the computer and make money. The sales started coming in, and I knew we were on to something huge.

So back to my story. I coached over 10 people last week. About 16 to be exact are in a special Skype group masterminding and earning money in less than a week.  Here are their comments with excitement:

Now, I want you to stop and think. These folks didn’t have to convince these customers to purchase their products. The customer actually wanted them. Imagine, Chris up there as of today has sold over 5 items from the weekend. And the income increases as his products listings increase. Oh and none of these students had to go to a post office to ship the item . Oh this is good stuff.

In the industry from working from home, you have about a 90 day window to get money in people’s pocket, or they are going to quit on ya. Or that autoship cancels on you after all that hard work. That’s not the case here. We are onto something huge. People are doing the work, and seeing the fruits of their labor.

How Dancing is Like Your Home Based Business

Make a movement. Keep it simple. Keep it duplicating. This video tells all: 

This guy has NO FEAR. He doesn’t give a, you know what, of what his friends think about him. That’s a leader.

You have to see your home based business in the same method. What does it matter what people think about you doing something different? Something that doesn’t require the status quo decisions. After all, your bills say your name, not your friends. Just saying.

I’m often reminded that your lifestyle, friendship, happiness and finances are the average of the 5 people you hang out with. So choose your friends wisely. I remember hanging out with a guy growing up who would always talk about rebellious activities. Things that wouldn’t serve me well and I’d join in the conversations because that is what I thought was correct. It was actually hurting me mentally. I didn’t realize that your mind was so powerful it can completely change your behavior and those around you.

Your home based business is about your self improvement. It’s not just about finances, it’s about time. Time with the person you are scared of facing most in the mirror. YOU. You are the person that blocks You. Until you can break the cycle of having to rely on someone else to make you happy, you will not survive hanging out with you. You see, I realize that leadership is investing in yourself to improve yourself to then go and duplicate. The problem I see with a few folks I come in contact with is that they’re scared of investing in themselves to improve. The wussy factor kicks in.

How do you get there? Personal development, coaching and more personal development. Once you built a solid mind, nothing can stop the machine inside you and you will be dancing and duplicating. Make it your day. Your time to prosper. Build that home based business that you invested in so you can bring yourself and your spouse home to spend time with each other. After all, you did marry your spouse and not your boss. Get your priorities in line and stop being a wussy and dance like nobody is watching.

People often ask me, when is the best time to get into a business opportunity? My answer is, “if your belief level is so strong it makes you cry, then today.” Successful people take action immediately despite of fear.

You see many people don’t know this but the reason I got involved in this industry was because of a girl not because of money. And no the girl wasn’t in a network marketing company, she was an ex-girlfriend who left me for another guy. As depressing as that sounds, it was and it took me awhile to get over her.

The beauty of this story though is that I got invited to a business opportunity that summer of nineteen nighty-nine. It was my 2nd exposure to Amway and it was called Quixtar at the time. I had no idea who these people were or why they looked so happy as if they were on crack . But this set a seed in me that would keep me addicted to this industry for years to come.

As I stated earlier, your why has to be so big of why you’re doing this business that it makes you cry. Sometimes if not all the time it’s bigger than money. Some people just show up to feel that they’re apart of something huge. But I saw the product results, I saw the potential and I went to work. Is it ok to say that I’m money motivated when I see something huge? I am now a top leader in Kangen Water thanks to my wonderful mentor and duplicateable coaching.

Every company that you get involved with has a marketing/sales department. I don’t care if you’re not a sales person. Get over your funk and figure out what happened to you at a young age to hate asking for the order. Sales and Marketing is the highest paid profession on planet earth – Period.

Take someone like me for example. I was a left brain thinker, engineer as I started my professional career. I realized very quickly that I love engineering, but I love network marketing even more. The self improvement and personal growth is priceless (seriously). You have to make a living first with it before you can make a fortune. Therefore, I don’t recommend quitting your job until you have come to surpass your primary income (job).

So when looking for a part-time business, my recommendation is do your homework on what your passion is. Make sure the product says what it says it’s going to be/do. Don’t just drink it on faith and make a story in your head about it. Actually see the results and your belief level will be strong. Give out samples of your product and let others let you know what they think.

Most of you know that my niche is Craigslist and I rock it quite well. I have produced over $55,000 in less than 7 months just utilizing Craigslist. You can see how [I did it here (CraigslistAdPower.com)]. The strategies work and they will continue to work.

Finally, I recommend if you’re going to build ANY business. Whether it’s real estate (which is my passion), MLM or network marketing (my vehicle to purchase more real estate), or traditional brick and mortar business, you need these tools (www.biztoolsuite.com).

You yourself that wants to succeed should copycat those that have made it happen. Sure you can go invest in PPC, SEO, SMO courses, but those won’t pay you today. If you want results and action quick, utilize this message and apply it. I’m an up front cut to the chase no crap type of guy. If you want results, take action today.

If you’re still at a job and tight on funds, start small but start somewhere. Go make a list of your friends and family and practice with them. This wasn’t my niche but some people are successful at it. I encourage you to just start and run with it.

I woke up today a bit teed off in the industry. I know I may get some rants on this subject but I just want to tell you my experience from a user/producer. I have had success in the industry of Network Marketing and my niche is online marketing. Now there are a lot of systems out there that you can sign up for and they’ll teach you a lot of nuggets, the problem is that they are overloaded with (technical term: CRAP). Not all of it is crap, but it’s just information overload. I’m sorry if you don’t agree. The problem is that you will end up confusing the SH*T out of your team if you don’t have something that is a copy and paste system. I pretty much sum it up in this video below on my thoughts and what I believe works and will continue to work.

Sure you can learn Pay-Per-Click, Social Media, Organic Article Writing, or Classified marketing (my personal favorite), but until you realize that ALL you need is to squeeze information out of someone. They connect to “you” through video. If you are not comfortable in front of video, then learn how to be ok with it. Just be you. I have tested this concept with 5 different MLM companies and 4 direct sale companies and it just simply works.

Items needed:

1) Squeeze page (your video of you telling the prospect who the heck you are looking for to be on your team with a lead capture list builder (example here).
2) Forward that opt-in prospect to either your replicated website to view a few videos of your opportunity. Or squeeze some more information like address and phone number to deliver your product samples with a simple video of your presentation (no longer than 40minutes) of your opportunity video (no other links should be surrounded). – (see 2nd page example here)
3) some simple ad creations with some hyperlinks to your squeeze page
4) save those simple ads in a text file
5) copy and paste ad information to different websites (I love Craigslist)

Are you truly fit for Entrepreneurship? I stumbled across an article while surfing through Entrepreneur.com, so they deserve the credit for these questions. The title of the post was “How to Start a Retail Business.” Ask yourself in an honest assessment if you are truly fit for Entrepreneurship. These questions are related to starting a retail business, but the same still applies.

1. Are you good at multitasking? In your own business, you have to be willing and able to do everything yourself. When you work for someone else, you are usually responsible for just one thing and have limited control. You are supported by others with expertise or experience in different roles and functions. In retail, every day can be a stretch, as you encounter customers, employees, vendors and landlords. You can’t say, “That’s not my job.” It’s all yours.

2. What is your risk tolerance? In a startup retail business, you worry about being in the right place at the right time with the right goods and services for the right people at the right price. Do you adjust quickly to unplanned events or prefer more predictable, organized projects? Do you see risk as a threat or an opportunity?

3. Do you count on a paycheck? New business owners can rarely count on a regular paycheck. Startups frequently require more capital than planned. Something’s bound to go wrong or change even though everything is penciled out in your plan. If you break out in a cold sweat if you aren’t paid on the same day every month, you may want to rethink going out on your own. Most of the money you make will go right back into inventory and other costs of doing business.

4. Are you a self-starter and comfortable being alone? Or do you draw your energy from being around others and count on colleagues for support and advice? In your own business, you must lead, knowing what to do and when to do it, and be fully accountable for everything that happens. The buck stops with you. Sometimes that’s a lonely place.

5. Do you value predictability or prize diversity? Not only are there laws against discrimination in hiring and business practices, but America is a multicultural society. When you open your store or service company, you will be interacting with a wide spectrum of customers, vendors, advisors and employees. Retailers need to be people-oriented, flexible and good-natured. Can you manage conflict, see things from others’ point of view, and cater to their taste, not yours?

I can tell you, as an entrepreneur myself, these are right on the money. So if you are someone who is thinking about starting a business, whether a home based business or brick and mortar, make a very honest assessment of yourself and your abilities. Desire can only take you so far before you actually have to start thinking and acting like an an entrepreneur.
