Effective Time Management and Balance

Effective time management is about learning different time management strategies, increasing your productivity, getting organized and using your time management skills to achieve goals and get more done! That’s why I always believe that to be able to manage a business successfully, you must learn to know your priorities, and manage your time well. If not, then expect delayed profit, or none at all!

Frankly speaking, when any person decides to organize his or her own business, it is highly important to carry out an investigation before taking any further steps. This can be explained by the need in getting to know more information about your competitors and to determine your chances with future prospects for the business. Take note that this is TIME CONSUMING, if you don’t know which and what to prioritize. Actually, this is not just my personal view, but the recommendations of the other experts who are busy with the business success on the world market arena. Every minute counts when running a business. So, I suggest that you have a list of your to-do list, with time as to when you should be able to accomplish a certain task, or else you’ll be totally at lost. If that’s the case then you are absolutely not competent enough for the development of the prosperous business and chances get higher that in few weeks such campaign is going to collapse. Do you not agree with me?

When starting your own business it’s often easy to get yourself started, but a lot harder to keep yourself going when things get a bit rough. Here are ten tips to help you stay committed.

1. Set short term daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
2. Keep those future goals in mind but focus on the present.
3. Be flexible and persistent.
4. Make it fun.
5. Find supportive people.
6. Review what you’ve done.
7. Expand yourself.
8. Stay positive.
9) Production
10) Reward yourself.

Let’s face an important truth. The degree to which you like your career and current job have a direct impact on your life, including your general outlook and demeanor, your physical and mental health, and the quality of your relationships. Often these concepts are NOT taught at an early age. Yes, your work life has that much impact on the rest of your life! If you are genuinely happy with your work, you are generally happy with life.

Because we spend at least a third of our days at our jobs — and some of us as much as half our days — our work must be something we value, something that we want to do and something that gives us a sense of purpose. So, if your work and your job are a struggle for you right now, this article should help clean things up a bit. This article provides a variety of straight-forward tips for helping you achieve the correct mindset.

1: Get it Right
2: Find Balance

There’s a difference between being ambitious and hard-working and simply overdoing it. Your life — and your career — will be so much better if you can carve out a balance (that fits you) between work and home. While certain employers and careers are much more balance-friendly, almost all employers recognize the value of retaining happy and healthy employees. And if full-time employment is no longer an option, consider job-sharing or telecommuting.

3: Make Friends… Network

The most powerful tool in job-hunting is building relationships with people. People with whom you have some kind of relationship are in your network, including family, friends, co-workers, associates, bosses, and the like. Keep expanding your network — and keep up with your current network – and new career opportunities will find you. (Network with people in person and online.) You should belong to at least two professional organizations and two social organizations – and not just belong, but participate (and build those relationships). For more information and resources about the power of networking — and how to do it, go to this section of Quintessential Careers: Key Career Networking Resources for Job-Seekers.

4: Know How to Negotiate

One theory of why the gap between the salaries of men and women is as wide as it is deals with the theory that men much more enjoy the art of salary negotiation and thus, while women may accept an employer’s first offer, men will ask for more. The trick to salary negotiation is research — knowing what you are worth in the market and what the employer is willing to pay. And remember that almost all elements of a job offer are negotiable — not just the salary.

5: Market Yourself

You probably know this fact already, but the best candidates are not always the ones selected for a new job or a promotion. The folks who get ahead are the ones who track their accomplishments and make sure their bosses are aware of them — either through informal discussions or during annual reviews. Also consider becoming an expert by writing articles in your field and serving as an expert for the media. Interested in more tips for building your personal brand? 6: Never Stop Your Career Quest

Most of us will work in multiple careers — with numerous jobs with a variety of employers. No one stays in one job with one employer anymore. So, you must see your life as an on-going quest for career happiness and success (however you define these concepts). Don’t stop being active in your career just because you are happy now in your current job — because things can change overnight, and it’s always best to be prepared for the next step in your career rather than having to make rash decisions. Having a plan may help you be better prepared.

Final Thoughts

Everyone should be able to find work that they respect and value — with an employer who respects and values you. Our work does not need to define us, but we have to accept the power that our job satisfaction has on the rest of our lives — with our demeanor, health, and relationships. Using the career tips in this article should provide a foundation for a life of career satisfaction and fulfillment. I’ve always said it, and I’ll say it again. If you can truly do what you love to do, you wouldn’t work for someone, you’d work for yourself. The reason you get up every morning and go to work isn’t because you truly enjoy it, it’s because of a paycheck. If money was not an issue for you, what and where would you be? Really paint that picture for yourself.

Your homework: List 5 dreams on your wall with pictures of where you would be if you weren’t tied to a job right now. If money was not an issue. Yes, you WILL attract it into your reality. In order for you to become and be wealthy, your mindset must become wealthy first. Wealth is a mindset filled with opportunities, not an 8am-5pm time clock.

Tony Robbins. Do you really know him?

Tony Robbins:

Who doesn’t know Tony Robbins, yet? I guess it’s time for you to know him. Simply, because you will learn a lot of great virtues just by getting to know him.  He is known to be a self-help writer and professional speaker.

Allow me to share with you some information about Tony Robbins:

Born  February 29, 1960 (1960-02-29)
North Hollywood, California, United States
Occupation:   Author; Actor;  Professional speaker
Years active:  1978–present

One of the books Robbins wrote include Unlimited Power: The New Science of Personal Achievement and Awaken The Giant Within.

Robbins started his career promoting seminars for Jim Rohn. Robbins says: “My first mentor was a man named Jim Rohn.  Jim Rohn, is one big factor of who Tony Robbins is now…Jim Rohn, was the one who taught him that happiness and success in life are not the result of what we have, but rather of how we live. What we do with the things we have makes the biggest difference in the quality of life.”

Later Robbins began teaching neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) which he had learned from NLP co-founder John Grinder. In 1983, Robbins learned how to firewalk from Tolly Burkan, and he began to incorporate firewalking into his seminars and later began to teach Neuro-Associative Conditioning (NAC) and “Human exploitation Psychology”.

Robbins has used infomercials to promote his products, seminars and programs. His audio programs, seminars and self-help products feature Neuro-linguistic programming and Ericksonian hypnosis.

Robbins calls himself a peak performance coach rather than a motivational speaker because he believes that peak performance coaching is more effective than temporary motivation.

There  are so many great things about Robbins, I think there’s nothing negative to say about him. Some of the quotes he created were as follows:

A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.
Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that dis-empowers them or one that can literally save their lives.
For changes to be of any true value, they’ve got to be lasting and consistent.
It not knowing what to do, it’s doing what you know.
    Live with passion!

Robbins published Unlimited Power with Simon and Schuster in 1987. Robbins books discuss the topics of health and energy, overcoming fears, persuasive communication, and enhancing relationships. One reviewer called the book “uplifting and idealistic”.

Critics of his book said it is too “wordy” and “reads like a transcript” and lacked the immediate structure needed to help change lives. Other reviewers dispute the book’s originality, pointing to many ideological similarities with Maxwell Maltz, Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill, and Dale Carnegie. Robbins freely acknowledges his indebtedness to these and other thinkers. But then, the more he is being criticized by others, the more he gained respect from many. The most highly-criticized chapter was Chapter Ten, “Energy: The Fuel of Excellence”. In the chapter, Robbins promoted such ideas as food combining, lymphology, and deep breathing to promote healthy physiology. Robbins introduced many of the ideas of food combining espoused by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond in their book, Fit for Life. He referred to them personally as his “former partners”, suggesting some possible business involvement. The National Council for Reliable Health Information wrote a scathing review of his health advice, stating that his sources were quacks and much of the literature he cites was entirely discredited.

Robbins shares the story of W. Mitchell, a real estate lawyer who had undergone serious legal cases in his book, Unlimited Power. Awaken the Giant Within. In his book Awaken the Giant Within, Robbins says that the difference between NAC and NLP lies in the use of the word “conditioning” instead of the word “programming”. The word “conditioning” implies that the subject has greater responsibility for his or her own change, as opposed to being programmed by someone else.

Robbins also conducts seminars, including four-day events such as Unleash the Power Within (UPW), Mastery University, Date With Destiny, and Wealth Mastery.

During the UPW seminar participants walk barefoot on hot coals at the end of the first evening session. The main point of the seminar is that achieving greatness requires the ability to unleash one’s personal power and take action.

The Life Mastery, seminar emphasizes a healthy lifestyle, and sometimes features guest lecturers such as Deepak Chopra and John Gray.

Date With Destiny, the only Mastery event at which Robbins is present for the entire event, is said to be designed to help participants align their values with their individual goals.

In 1997, Robbins began the Leadership Academy seminar, in which participants learn to “[c]reate an identity for them self as someone who can help ‘anyone’, no matter what his/her challenge may be”

Robbins has been a featured speaker at several Sea Pine Real Estate Wealth Expos sponsored by the Learning Annex and at the 2007 Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) conference, he likes to gather information about companies dedicated to luxury home builder in real estate. Robbins presentation has been ranked as one of the Top 10 TED Talks. In May 1995, Robbins Research International (RRI) responded to Federal Trade Commission charges of misrepresentation of potential earnings to franchise investors, by agreeing to pay $221,260 (USD) in consumer redress.

Financial seminar guru Wade Cook also sued Robbins for copyright infringement, alleging that Robbins used proprietary terms in his seminars and in his book, Wall Street Money Machine. In 1998, a Tacoma, Washington jury ordered Robbins to pay Cook $650,900 in damages. In his book, Awaken the Giant Within, Robbins recounts meetings with public figures such as Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, François Mitterrand, and Princess Diana.

In his books Personal Power and Get the Edge Robbins says that celebrities have appeared on his infomercials without compensation including Fran Tarkenton, Pamela Anderson, Quincy Jones, Erin Brockovich and Anthony Hopkins.  According to a 1994 article in the New York Times President Bill Clinton invited Robbins, Marianne Williamson and Dr. Steven R. Covey for a meeting at Camp David and the three of them “refuse to divulge the substance of their meeting with the Clintons”.

Robbins has counseled sports professionals such as Greg Norman, Mike Tyson, Chuck Liddell, Diego Sanchez and Andre Agasi[23][24][25] and sports teams such as the Los Angeles Kings.
Robbins is a member of the Advisory Board of HealthCorps, and he specializes on the use of bfr bands to better the athletes performance.

In Shallow Hal Robbins appears in a scene with Jack Black in an elevator and Robbins hypnotizes Black in order to change his mental state. Black then sees people’s outward appearance based on their inner personality. During the scene, Black refers to Robbins’ hands as “banana hands”. Robbin’s wife Sage, also has a cameo appearance in the movie.

In Men in Black (1997), an image of Robbins and a Robbins infomercial is seen in the background during a tour of the control room used to track aliens living on earth.

Robbins has also appeared on the TV show, The Sopranos.

Robbins is scheduled to appear in an upcoming movie The Singularity Is Near: A True Story About The Future, which is based on the book The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology (2005) by Ray Kurzweil.

Robbins also appears in a commercial playing in the background during a scene of the The Cable Guy.

In the movie, The Girl Next Door,[which?] Tony Robbins can be heard on the stereo of a truancy officer.

In the Family Guy episode, When You Wish Upon a Weinstein, Peter goes to Robbins’ book signing event and Robbins swallows him.

In February 2009 the NBC announced a new reality series called “Breakthrough with Tony Robbins”, a reality show that follows Robbins as he takes helps the show’s participants face their personal challenges.

The author of a video game called Shattered Glass says his video character Ratbat is based on Robbins Anthony Robbins Foundation, but he still play other games as Overwatch, and he also goes online to find out the prices for ow boosters to be able to improve on his game.

Robbins is the founder of the Anthony Robbins Foundation, whose self-proclaimed mission is to empower students and prisoners, organize food drives, and fund Robbins’ “Discovery Camp”.[29] According to the official website, the foundation has “products and programs in more than 2,000 schools, 700 prisons, and 100,000 health and human service organizations”. The foundation is said to have inspired groups around the world, who provide baskets of food to two million needy people each year, on Thanksgiving day.

Robbins was married to his first wife, Becky, for 15 years. The marriage ended in divorce and in a 2001 CNN interview, Robbins said it was the toughest decision of his life.  In June 2001, Robbins married Bonnie Humphrey (now known as Sage Robbins). Robbins alludes to his personal belief in God, giving the grand complexity of life as evidence of an intelligent designer.

It also allows many couples to get their Uncontested Divorce Lawyer Huntsville, AL granted more quickly. With fewer proceedings and less legal wrangling, it allows couples to more quickly move on with their lives.

Reading a couple of his books, having a little idea what he went through, memorizing quotes he wrote is more than enough for me to believe that he is indeed worth all the respect from anyone. He is someone that every people, from every nation should know.  He is indeed an icon of a true successful man, because of the characteristics that he possess. If all man would be like him, everyone will surely be successful in all  their endeavor.

A Road Less Traveled…

You can’t go back, you can’t go right, you can’t go left….Only forward. Continue through the fire, the broken road, but in the end, it’s soooo worth it. You will find paradise. Some call it stupidity to do what I did. I call it adventure. Welcome to my world.

Avoid Living in Conformity

From wikipedia: Conformity is the process by which an individual’s attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors are influenced by other people.
This influence occurs in both small groups and society as a whole, and it may be the result of subtle unconscious influences, or direct and overt social pressure. Conformity also occurs by the “implied presence” of others, or when other people are not actually present. For example, people tend to follow the norms of society when eating or watching television, even when they are at home by themselves.

People often conform from a desire to achieve a sense of security within a group—typically a group that is of a similar age, culture, religion, or educational status. Any unwillingness to conform carries with it the very real risk of social rejection. In this respect, conformity can be seen as a safe means of avoiding bullying or deflecting criticism from peers. Conformity is often associated with adolescence and youth culture, but it affects humans of all ages.

Although peer pressure may be viewed as a negative trait, conformity can have either good or bad effects depending on the situation. Driving safely on the correct side of the road is a beneficial example of conformity. Conformity influences the formation and maintenance of social norms and allows society to function smoothly and predictably.
