Bad Practices in Using Social Media for Internet Marketing

social media for Internet Marketing

The social media is indeed very effective in Internet marketing. This will provide you the edge that your business needs by making it known to others and by showcasing the benefits that it can offer to other people. However, this is also one of the most abused platforms of Internet marketing.

Many people think that social networking sites are just free-for-all platforms in Internet marketing where they can just do or say whatever they want. But little do they know that their careless words and actions can impact their Internet marketing negatively, and the effects can be long-term or even permanent.

So, it is important for you to know the things that you should not do when using the social media for Internet marketing. Below are the things that you should avoid to preserve the good reputation of your business:

1. Deception

Never ever deceive your audience. Do not pretend that your product is flawless because once your customers find out that you are lying to them, they will come back to haunt you with negative remarks and bad reviews for your site. As much as possible, be honest in your answers to your customers.

2. Limiting Your Views

Do not only limit your views on the things that you have learned or experienced. Open your mind to the ideas or suggestions of your critics. Use their inputs to transform your product or service into something better.

However, I am not saying that you should always jump the gun on something that you think is unreasonable. Let logic, surveys and other Internet marketing tools verify first if what they are saying are good for your business or not.

3. Working Beyond the Norms

Never go beyond the written and unwritten rules of the online community. Avoid berating or harassing other people no matter how obnoxious they may be. If you find that you are in a bad position due to the unruly conduct of others, simply block or delete them from your circle. It is a wise move to report the said users to the moderator of the site too so that they will be dealt with accordingly.

On the other hand, if the above-mentioned acts do not work for you, you can always answer those people in a constructive manner. Use logic instead of force in reasoning out with them. Always remember to keep your cool while putting your goals ahead of anything else when you are dealing with those kinds of people.

4. Being Too Pushy

Avoid spamming or forcing others to avail of your products or services. If you sense that the people whom you are talking to are not interested in any way with what you are presenting, politely excuse yourself from the conversation. Besides, it is a waste of precious time to be nagging people about something that they do not really need or want anyway.

In addition, never interrupt people during a conversation with others just to promote what you are selling. You may join the conversation though, if you are welcome, and creatively intrigue them so you can catch their attention. Once they do, that’s your cue to promote whatever it is you are offering.

5. Talking Monotonously

Stop talking like an automaton. Keep your tone in a conversational manner and add feelings into it. Remember to be straightforward as well. If you can explain your product in a couple of sentences only, then do it.

Do not keep on adding fillers, non-sense or other things that may blur the views of your prospective clients. Remember, you are there to inform them about your product and to get them interested, not to bore them, make them sleep or confuse them.

6. Keeping Your Internet Marketing Goal on a Short-Term Only

Great advice would be, go learn form the pros incognito, get an internship position at a place like YEAH Local or whichever business near you doing generally what you want to be doing eventually. The depth of learning achieved in real life application can be astounding. Choose your words and battles carefully. Think before you act. A great Internet marketing practice if to study and weigh the consequences of your decisions first before you do something. Never say or do something that you will end up regretting in the long run. Always put your goal into mind prior to laying down your cards.

With deep love, may your business be profitable today and beyond.

P.S. Building a list and keeping that list informed of some powerful concepts such as these can help folks appreciate you more. What some may perceive as “common sense” other’s may have never considered these ideas otherwise. I remember when I first go started online, I use to get emotional and take things personally. I’m sure you’ve been there once or twice. I recommend you continue building that list using MLSP. Stay strong and let’s lock arms and fight the poverty mentality. Join my team here: MLSP Team

P.S.S. You may secretly join this team as this project has taken my business to another level: Every business DESERVES this in their business.

Live The Dream 3 (MyLeadSystemPro) 2012 Internet Marketing Convention

Back in 2009 when I started flying to Internet Marketing conventions, that is where I was able to connect with like minded thinking internet marketing junkies lol. I have to say this is where the magic happens. At events.

BTW, the energy in the room creates something magical that happens to each and every person to become “creative”. This happens from your right brain of thinking. Your creative side.

So here are my thoughts I took from the event of Live The Dream 3 in Texas hosted at the Gaylord, Texan.

It was great to meet people that I only knew online before… The training sessions were awesome… The Philadelphia Mariott Downtown hotel was an amazing place to have the event… Hanging out and having fun with people mastering spirit plant journeys was a blast… and the gold nuggets I got from the event can have a profound impact on my business…

But there is a big problem with the Live The Dream 3 Event.

And it’s actually the same problem with the MLSP system itself.

This one single issue if not understood and mastered can cause you to waste your time and money trying to figure out this online mlm stuff for years and years.

So what is this big issue?

Focus.

Live The Dream 3 like all the other events always have great speakers, a lot of them and they all have their own way of doing things… their own strategies they follow. And they all work and every speaker makes a convincing argument why you should follow their way and run to the back of the room to purchased their great system.

But in order to succeed you need to pick one marketing strategy and stick with it. But with all the great speakers it can have you guessing which method is right for you and you end up trying all of them and never have any results with any of them.

I got what I needed Saturday morning because I know what my strategy and plan is. The rest of the weekend was an exercise in not getting distracted. I was tempted to buy other products from a bunch of speakers but I knew if I did it would only distract me from my plan and delay my results.

And that’s the same problem with My Lead System Pro.

Every marketing strategy you could ever need is in the training library in the MLSP back office. And every Wednesday is another webinar by another leader that will convince you that you need to learn and follow their method. So you stop doing the stuff you were already working on that was starting to show results and switch to this new method.

The key to success with MLSP and these live events is focus.

Pick the marketing strategy that fits you the best and go all in with that method until you master it.

If you can maintain focus and not be distracted then MLSP can work for you. But only if you stay focused.

Keep Learning… But let’s make it focused learning!

To the top,

Corporate VS. The People Mentality

The New Wave of Mobile Apps for Entrepreneurs

Corporate Vs. The People

Recently I came across an App called Rippln. This innovative idea of an App comes to mind of the money going back to the people vs. the corporate mentality.

Rippln’s concept is a bit different than a company just profiting for their creation of the App. The creator takes the idea and allows the grass roots market to make a referral income.  Average people making a chunk of the money for an idea that someone created. I like it and for those that understand leverage, you get it too.

Let’s take the Network Marketing industry for example (MLM, Multi-Level). Many great companies out there allow a user to not only be a customer but a marketer as well to pay for their product/service and make additional income too.

I use to run a computer service company for over 5 years servicing infected Windows Machines. I wasn’t satisfied because I knew it was only about me. I hired a few employees that turned into headaches because they didn’t care so much about my company. The urgency wasn’t deep enough. Therefore, I appreciated the grass roots system (Affiliates sharing the wealth). By the way, a great place to hire is at temp agency in philadelphia.

The Affiliates

There was something about educating affiliates and allowing them to go out and market for you so that you can earn “1% of the efforts of 100 people instead of 100% of the efforts coming from you.”

I have several projects going on in my life that bring me multiple streams of income. I learned from a book called Rich Dad, Poor Dad back in 2006 that you need 3-5 streams of income full-time to bring you home and work on your passions.  I set myself up to educate others so that they too can earn an income and not depend on one paycheck.

The industry that has given so much back to me in the form of personal growth and mental toughness. The industry where the average person can succeed and where 80% of millionaires are made.

As you can see, the options for social media syndication are perfect. Whether you want more likes on your YouTube Video, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, and much more, you have the ability to help others and they can help you.

Now they also have paid services where you can buy points. I believe 5000 points will be about $25 if you wish to just skip to the head of the line and get more traffic.
